Not at all.
I've argued for decades on here that supply-focused WOD policies are bad.
The 2019 regs and this "war" on Venezuela are both examples of supply-focused WOD policies.
It's just being dishonestly spun into silliness like "loving fishing boats" or "supporting Marduro" because there is a lack of serious people on this board currently.

Are we supposed to be looking for accountability for those who helped cause the fentanyl crisis or no?
Accountability means inquiries, hearings, strongly worded letters and soundbites for X... I'd take actionable prevention over that every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Supply-focused WOD policies have failed, and often create negative externalities. The fentanyl crisis of the 2020s is one of those.
That's because they've always been half assed. They will probably stay half assed or return to half assed.
Every dose sunk is a dose that doesn't exist to harm others.

War

It certainly should serve as a deterent to others when we blow up their boats. My arse wouldn't be on any boats..

We had a kid that played youth baseball/basketball with us died from this crap, I'm somewhat friends with his parents.
When the police came to their house at 5 am to inform them Chance had OD'ed the father said "Not my son, he's in his room asleep".
He had snuck out, the case made state news in Texas.
AI SEARCH:
Victim: Chance Stovall, a junior at Wylie East High School.
Incident: In January 2024, Stovall and another individual, Connor Miller, purchased fentanyl-laced pills from a dealer in Dallas. They snorted the pills, and Stovall died from the poisoning.

But we're just following the same type of policies that created the fentanyl crisis. The same ones that have failed for 50 years.
I don't think it's going to result in "actionable prevention", as history has shown. And it likely just creates something worse (like....fentanyl)

No

Just like every opiate not prescribed is a dose that won't harm others, right?
Except then fentanyl replaced it and made it worse.

Well the fentanyl crisis itself kind of proves my point

Kids are dumb. They feel they're invincible. They are also likely to give in to peer pressure.

That's a hard hitting msg no doubt. Needs to be a legit govt PSA from this current administration.
The problem is that then they should be forced to ask questions of how the first Trump administration helped create the current fentanyl crisis with the same misguided WOD policies targeting supply
And you probably wonder why folks have such a low opinion of you.

I don't remember bombing drug boats on the regular being a thing before.

I disagree strongly with the blanket crackdown on prescription pain medications.
So, what you're saying is basically- since nothing has ever worked before- then just let it rip, some will die, but that's the way it goes?
