Unfortunately the freedom you refer to was curtailed by federal housing laws long ago.

Would need to see pictures of both people for this to be legit. Race may play a factor, but when renting appearance (like a job interview) is going to be the biggest determination.

For this, both "actors" would need to be dressed identical...then done again with white actor dressed nice and black dressed trashy...then a third time with white actor dressed trashy and black actor dresses nice.

These things are always simplified down into "RACISM!" because they know people eat it up.

It was this way for Italians when they first immigrated. Did they sit and cry on the side walk? NO.....they persevered and over time became an integral part of American culture. These sad anecdotes and excuses that you libs continually spew out are PART OF and probably MOST OF the problem. Your mental gymnastics are impressive, I cannot lie. Its 2014 and we are talking about now. Blacks get ridiculed on this board routinely for their "groupthink" in voting 95% for Obama, but it never gets mentioned that southern whites voted 85%ish for Romney. Sure, it isnt as bad as 95, but still a solid indicator that some "groupthink" is also at play. But thats the "good groupthink" though, right?

Well all I could really find after a quick search was MS and AL, which were like 88 and 84. If data from other southern states stray away from this, I will gladly retract my statements. But IF this board is a fair representation of the average southern white (+/- male), then 85% doesnt seem too far-fetched to me.
