Kill freebies for able-bodied adults

ABSOLUTELY - been saying that for decades - back before it was only a suggestion for not rewarding slouchy behavior.

But now that 'welfare' is being used as vote-buying with OPM (other people's money) it is critical.

Democrats do not give a shite about 'welfare recipients' - they ONLY care about getting access to their BALLOTs.

Democrats have no moral issue they can debate honestly - all they got are drive by sound-bytes designed for misleading the mentally challenged.

Would LOVE for someone - anyone - to state just ONE democrat issue that is base on ANY principle other than 'increasing our ballot access'

Been asking that question for decades now - not ONE time has anyone identified any issue that can be argued on moral grounds, without regard to its effect on encouraging illicit voting issues.

I don't know why people are down voting your post. It's a real world observation from someone who has skin in the game. Keep posting , I'm learning a lot from you.

Immigration policy should be based on workforce needs, and how many we let in based on employment levels. If UE is high, no immigrants. If UE is low or at full employment, let in how ever many is necessary based on skills and industry needs.

But to do this we must first eliminate welfare fraud and greatly reduce benefits where able bodied people would rather work than be on welfare. We have the people to fill the jobs, they just need incentive to work. And no immigrant worker should receive any form of welfare. That’s for citizens only

Some do. Some forget they have a wife and two kids living in a tin shack in Qiche.

Anti-immigrant hysteria is real. Do you think that all immigrants can be eliminated?

Why are you talking about 2 different things as if they are one?

You are absolutely right, my head guys brother was like that. I ended firing him because he complained all the time. I’m sure we’ve all worked somewhere and experienced the constant complainer. It ruins the mood of everyone trying to do their job.
His brother talked to me several times in private and said that he was the only one that sent money to their parents and that his brother was selfish and wouldn’t help.
He also said that his brother had a wife and kids in Mexico and he never sent them anything.
I am on the side of deportation. Like I said earlier, I believe the majority of our resources should be on the gangbangers and the foreign terrorists and spies that Biden let through.

Boy is this going to be unpopular: if every illegal was deported today. The construction industry would collapse. Have you driven by any construction sites? 90% new homes, high rises, highways, bridges, roofs etc are being built by Hispanic crews, I stay in hotels regularly, all the room cleaners are Hispanic.
I have no idea what the long term effect would be. Hell, it might be good. Maybe everyone on welfare would suddenly go to work and become proficient in the construction industry. It took me 4-5 years to become a really good roofer. Of course I started when I was 18 and was basically roofing to pay rent and buy beer. I wasn’t focused and didn’t have a family yet.

You can’t snap your fingers and have 10 million experienced construction workers appear.

Liberals and most politicians have two objectives. Get in power and stay in power. Anything they say beyond that is pure bullshite.

Republicans should push a high tax on any money transferred out of the country . The average American would support this . When democrats vote it down it could be used in the mid terms . To get around the democrats judges they could push tax on all imported goods and called it an emissions tax. Trumps would get his tariffs passed by democrats or they would show everyone that they don’t care about the environment.

Can’t fix the ignorance of others at this point. Some are irrationally tied up in this issue. Others live in the real world.

Our entire economy would crash if (like some ignorant conservatives) we just waived a wand and 10-15% of construction and ag workforce just vanished. Every American would suffer. But hey, “we” win, right?

Sorry for giving a good living wage to good people that want to work.

I’m sure corporate America would love that. Also, if I travel to a foreign country and swipe my debit card from an American bank - would that be taxed heavily as well?
