It’s actually more of a grey area than you think. But likely wouldn’t pass muster.

How can the expert say there's nothing to prevent this if this is the wording in the 12th Amendment?

Eligibility requirements =\= term limits

Obama is eligible to be President based on Constitutional requirements, but he is term limited out.

Legally, he can be VP but would not be in the line of succession.

None of this matters because it isn’t going to happen.

He’s right you know. I just wouldn’t pick Clinton as top of ticket. Dems are stupid though!

The argument is that Obama is not ineligible to “the office of President,” he is ineligible to being elected there again.

Which is a stupid argument. He’s not eligible to be elected Vice President either, as the requirements are identical to the requirements to be elected President.

No Barak cant run. A Pres can serve as. Pres for 10 yrs technically ...so in this scenario...if something happened to Hillaryb that she could not be pres before yr 2....then Barak could not legally complete the term

You seem to have glossed over this part

*How many times has B.O. been elected? Twice
*How many years can he serve as a VP then ascend to the presidency? Two years, but only if he had been elected to one term, per the Constitution

And since his previous 2 elections automatically prevents him from filling in at all, and since no one can rule out the length of time needed for him to fill in, hes toast

Is there more descriptive wording of the amendment? The quoted part says nothing about being elected so unless it more directly points that out, there's no reason to think of it that way.

So he's ineligible, factually speaking then.

Is there any new talent out there? I guess the dems tried and we ended up with Biden. Trump on the other hand was new talent. But the other side does not develop new talent.

Michelle Obama would be the VP nominee, not Barack. If she didn’t want the job he could just do it for her once she was elected.

they would join up and do anything... to get the power back; after they weaponized all of govt. they need a clean up their crimes crew in.

It is surreal HRC is their best shot. They were sure Mayor Pete, Kamala, or the skateboarder from TX would do it for them...

The VP goes to funerals and no one bothers them in the VP mansion. The point of the author's opinion I think is that the media can make anything okay as long as the D's win.
