Correct, you get into subsets and it's closer to 2.5 to 3% of the population creating more than 50% of the violent havoc in this country.

Causes? Solutions?

Causes: uninstitutionalized mental patients, drug prohibition and gang violence

Solutions: Well obviously the solution is to take all guns from law abiding, non druggie, non gang member sane people.

stats are rayciss

It’s not that stats are racist. Stats have been used to push policies that have a detrimental effect on black communities.

Blacks have higher absentee rates at work. Our policy is: blacks can’t work here.
Blacks score lower on IQ tests. Our policy is that school teachers in segregated black schools won’t be paid as much.
Blacks have higher rates of death from communicable diseases. Our policy is that black people can’t go to the good hospitals.
Black people don’t contribute as much tax revenue, so the public roads and water facilities won’t get as much if any attention.

All of these are completely rational conclusions of you use the racial stats as the only basis for your policy. These were all widely practiced, disastrous policies that continued a spiral of racial class separation. With the Civil Rights Act if 1964, blacks have begun to see a closing of that gap, which is a large reason why you see more black people in higher education and white-collar jobs.

You don’t see the media blankly report the news that black people are responsible for a disproportionately higher level of crime because without context, it implies you’re advocating for the same racist policies that led us to this quagmire in the first place.

Are any of those policy claims real?

The media doesn’t report the that particular aspect of the news for two reasons. The biggest one by far is that it doesn’t fit their agenda. The second one is that even if they thought it was relevant, they’ll be accused of racism. The context is immaterial; you can provide whatever context you like, and you’ll still be called a racist.

I think white nationalists are a bigger percentage of the population that that. Plus, they're responsible for 100% of the murders not 50%.

And even smaller still.

Add "raised by a single mother" to that list as well.

Yes. Before Brown vs Board of Ed, it was common for teachers to be paid less if you taught in a black school.

Yes, the “I Have a Dream” speech was delivered at the “March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom”. Black unemployment was high because segregation policies barred black people from working in many places. Sit-in protests at deli counters were more about jobs than being served.

Yes, black people were segregated to sub-par hospitals. Title VI of the CRA of ‘64 changed that.

I think this is a huge divide in this country about what is considered “racist”. Some choose to see these things as either “fake” or a distant past. Others see these racist policies as a preeminent threat that could re-surface without diligent opposition.

When you cite stats without context, what exactly are you proposing? It’s easy to see how somebody who lived in the 50’s could see that as a call for the racist policies of the past.

I know the term “racist” gets people’s jimmies rustled. Most people aren’t hateful bigots. But I hope you can see where the fear of racism comes from.

So nothing in the past 50 years...

How many generations is necessary for blacks in the ghetto to get their shite together?

I've known several people that grew up poor without all the freebies given out today that managed to become contributing members of society within 1 generation.

Not that much smaller. Statistically I think it’s about 72% of the original number.

You throw this out there like it’s just something that randomly happens to black people. Show up and work hard and the world will beat a path to your door.

It’s the soft bigotry of low expectations from the oh-so-enlightened left that is the real racism. I expect a black man to work as hard as I do, be as smart as I am and as responsible as I am. In return, he should be treated exactly the same as I am. No better, no worse. The Tuskegee Airmen proved that race has nothing to do with heart and ability. True equality can only come by treating all equally.

Blacks get better treatment then white when it comes to work and college. They can do less at work and still keep their job because bosses have to worry about getting in trouble if they fire a minority. They can get into college with lower test scores .

Inner city crime is out of control but it's also mostly gang on gang violence.

The white supremacy terrorists are a threat because they are targeting schools, malls, bars etc where regular every day citizens are easy targets.
