Ok
I’ve been hearing this garbage spewed for the past couple of days and I just don’t understand how we are concerned that this would be an issue.
The Speaker requires a majority of the votes cast, not the membership, which means that the ONLY way for the Dems to win Speaker is for Republicans to abstain from voting. In that case the blood is NOT on the Freedom Caucasus’ hands, it is solely on the hands of Republicans in the Uniparty

A democratic speaker would be great for America. That would force everyone to work together to do anything. That’s what we need.

Are you out of your mind, or just a liberal shill - or both?

So 4% of Republican congressmen cause a new speaker to be elected. If it goes bad, we blame the 96%?

I realize this place is not where you find average voters, but the stupidity can be breath taking.

The all or nothing crybaby shite is getting old. This is why many Republicans will vote RFK Jr. People get tired of being in a hostage situation.

Liberals can’t control the House. There’s a republican majority. Any democrat who is elected speaker would have to be more like an old-style republican. That’s the best way forward.

If you think there are only 8 reps in the House that are good and you have no desire to work with the other 400 or so, you might as well never vote again because your tribe won’t ever be significant in any way, and you will never enact anything.

I don’t get it. I use the but-for analysis as used in the legal arts…..”but for” Gaetz’s reckless actions, there would not even be this special election. Thus any losses accrued therewith are traceable back to him and the bandits who ride with him…..thieves, cutthroats, bandits and poker cheats known in the criminal underworld as The Gaetz Gang.

They’re all liable for what comes next.

Dumbarse, you've proven once again you support tyranny.

Who are the fascists? Rhetorical, of course.

- moar free shite for everyone (inflation)
- moar open borders
- moar spending and money laundering through Ukraine and others
- moar censorship of free speech
- moar weaponization of DOJ

No no no.

If you desire tyranny that much - move to Russia or China. Or hell - Venezuela , Cuba and Canada are in this hemisphere.

This country didn’t become great because of that bullshite. This country was founded to escape it.

Wait awhile. A Democrat will be Speaker in early January, 2025.

Entirel possible. If the 8 continue to hold out... I'd reckon it's easier to find 9 republicans willing to sell out to democrats than 9 democrats willing to vote for a republican speaker.

Nope. Their policies are being rejected nation wide.
