My understanding is, that Osama wanted to overthrow the Saudi Monarchy, which, in his opinion, was propped up by the US. That is why he attacked the US.
Yes the hijackers were mostly Saudi, but was the Saudi monarchy behind it? Explicitly? Tacitly?

Members of Saudi Intelligence were aware of it and did nothing to stop it. Wealthy Saudi’s also funneled money to Al-Qaeda before 9/11.

that's a terrible comparison. the entire governmental structure of Japan was torn down and rebuilt post WW2. Saudi Arabia is still pretty much the same.

No it's not.. JD Vance and Donald Trump had nothing to do with 9/11. There have been multiple leadership changes in SA since then
