Senators Feinstein and Harris are pissed because the 9th Circuit won’t be their hiding spot anymore. Three new Judges that follow the law vs opinion should help.

The 9th covers too much territory. It needs to be split in to 3 or even 4

How does it work exactly? Can’t they still shop it to the liberal judges there?

I'm sure the Alt-Left loons still comprise a majority, but at least President Trump keeps chipping away.

3 more pro-American judges in the Land of Lucifer. Can't lie; it makes me smile.

when the White House sent three nominations for the 9th Circuit to Capitol Hill that it set off a firestorm, including a letter from then-White House counsel Don McGahn to then-Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican, saying that after two years "attempting to engage constructively" with Feinstein and Harris the President had decided to "nominate his own well-qualified nominees."

As for Feinstein and Harris, they issued a joint statement saying they were "deeply disappointed" with the choice to renominate Collins and Lee.
I'm sure Trump was "deeply disappointed" with the choice to leave our southern borders open.

I'm sure Willie Brown was "deeply disappointed" that Harris just sat there like a fish during their "mentorship" sessions.

Why is this thread not at 10 pages yet? This is YUGE news! Now that the roadblockers in the Senate have been kicked, these nominations should start falling into place nicely.

Damn Trump even nominated Pat Bumatay to a Southern District of California District Court Judicial opening. Bumatay is absolutely despised by Feinstein and Harris because he doesn't fit their bill and has resisted political prosecutorial work that they had requested in the past.

Trump had originally threatened the two Senators with his nomination to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals which sent these two through the roof but instead nominated Dan Brees who is even more conservative than Bumatay.

Bumatay is an openly gay Filipino who currently is a DOJ federal prosecutor. He is also a hard core conservative (Log Cabin Republican).

Trump also nominated Mark Scarsi, Jeremy Rosen and Stanley Blumenfeld to judicial positions in the Central District of California.

There are currently six vacancies on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, with three designated for California picks, and the others for Arizona, Oregon, and Washington.

These three 9th Circuit picks mean that Trump has Arizona, Oregon, and Washington State left to fully finish out the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals so it is fully staffed. There are 25 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Judges and if these three are confirmed then it would mean that 7 of the 29 are Trump appointees with three more to go.

Effectively Trump will have placed more than 1/3 of the bench for the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals once Wash, Oregon, & Arizona and these three from Cali are confirmed.

The balance will be 13-16 (GOP to Dem)

GOP Control 4 Court of Appeals (5th, 6th, 7th, 8th)

Thanks for the info. I think almost all of the cases are decided by 3 judge panels so it will be interesting to see how the divide them up. Do not know who is the Chief Judge in the 9th Circuit but guessing very liberal.
