This is true, and the Democrats are partly culpable because of their extreme rhetoric. But some irresponsible rhetoric is less bad that other. “8647”, meaning “ditch Trump” is not nearly as bad as “Trump is Hitler” or “Trump will destroy democracy”. Those last two are possible incitements to violence. After all, if they were true, violence would be proper. But “8647” does not rise to that level.

You can’t yell fire in a movie theater. Not ALL speech is protected. And considering it’s about a federal officer, much less the President, well I think you might be crossing that fire line.

If you have to qualify your speech you in fact do not have free speech.
You have permissible speech and what is permitted can change and often does.
Quite different than free speech.
The 1st amendment is limited permissible speech open to scrutiny by whomever is wielding the majority of power at any given time.

You’ve confused me. I probably just don’t understand the meaning you are giving to your terms.
I can’t publicly accuse you of crimes you didn’t commit; that’s slander. I can’t go to Bourbon Street and start yelling that we should kill all the Asians; that’s incitement. Are you saying these are impermissible, yet we still have free speech because we can speak any permissible things?
In the USA I can speak publicly about any point of view. That is not so in most other countries.
