Come on now. We're 25 years removed from 9/11. Half of American history books are comprised of events which have occurred since 9/11; we've learned that revenge and a constant state of war haven't improved our relations with the Middle East or with Islam.
So 80,000 have signed this petition. What about the 8,400,000+ New Yorkers who haven't signed the petition? Zohran Mamdani was elected mayor of all New York, with solid majorities in four of the five boroughs.

NY as a state, doesn't have a Mayor.

Lower turnouts make it easier to cheat as well because no one questions adding two or three percent to only 20%.

There are "only" ~5.35M registered voters in NYC, but your point is valid even if your math is not. Along with that, Mamdani won with "only" around 1M voters voting for him.
So Mamdani won with roughly 20% of registered voters casting votes for him. That 80k number represents only ~1.5% of registered voters and only 7.2% of the amount of people who voted for him. In other words, while 80k is a very large crowd, it's not even close to being noticeable when compared against the amount of people who voted for him much less the total number of registered voters.
For something like that to have a real impact, it would need to be reaching something like 10%-15% of total voters.

No one gets turn against this fast unless the election was a sham in the first place, which is what I suspect. It is funny to see the Democrats fall to their own schemes.
