As if they weren’t already? This is very much a symptom of the simultaneous “I had a bad day, I deserve a treat” and “I had a good day, I deserve a treat” mentalities that’s so prevalent.

If you substitute "treat" with "bottle of wine," does that make me an alcoholic?

So pumping money into their local economies and wherever they travel instead of paying loans off to the government?

I thought we were all for the economy having more money flow and not the government getting more.

Dumb. Full of false dichotomies and straw men. Try again.

Dumbassery. They're pretty much the same though.

Here's a fun graphic showing the prevalence of that mindset:

"Don't worry, we can maintain our lifestyle by running up our credit cards while we wait this out. What's the worst that could happen?"

So if they aren’t paying the government the money in loans and they spend it at a local restaurant, they aren’t helping the economy?

This is why it's a bad policy.

Just make student debt dischargable in bankruptcy like any other debt.

If they're going to spend the savings on luxury items, they didn't need the loan forgiveness.

Do you have a car loan, or a mortgage, or pay rent? Why spend your money on these things even though you signed a lease or loan? Why not spend your money on nice dinners or travel is that what you are saying?

people are so FCKING dumb. apparently no one is like... wait a minute. maybe that's why we needed "forgiveness" in the first place.

they'll make us forgive their car notes and mortgages very soon..

No because the government has pretty much just shite hundreds of billions of dollars onto the street for people to scoop up.

What's the most direct way to devalue a fiat currency?
