I cant believe you are doubling down on this stupid statement. Obama included all turnarounds at the border (a far larger number than deportations) as deportations. He then compared his numbers to actual deportations of other adminstrations.....and told the press to label him as deporter in chief.
I cant believe so many people actually believed it, and some still do.

Great. Now how many of those people arrested/detained were released after their status was verified? Given the pressure that ICE is getting to meet certain quotas, their own agents will tell you that they are making "arrests" of H2A's, holding them for a day or so, then releasing them. I have buddies with H2A labor who have their guys wear their papers around their necks because they aren't given the chance to go to the truck and get it if asked. You don't have to like that there are immigrants here working, but it doesn't make them "illegal".

It's easier to not let them in than to get them out. The most important thing is the optics to work as a deterrent.
