I’m not defending fraud. I did however ignore your comment because it was obvious you lack the capacity to understand the nuances of what changed under Obama starting in 2012 and my time is valuable (about 4k a month according to the VA).

I think.some of the issue is disability is such a loaded word and brings up images in your head, wheelchair bound etc. I think if they changed the wording to military compensation or something might remove the stigma of "disability".
Also, I think people fight for that 100 percent cuz the jump from 90 to 100 is so big. Maybe they rework it and say you get 90 percent of the 3500, 80 percent of the 3500 etc. People would be less likely to want to try to get the max
Also, it is somewhat of a state issue because people want that property tax/ school benefit. Maybe again work with the states and make property tax 90, 80 etc off the taxes and not just the assessment. Etc.
Just some thoughts

Well, what changed under Obama, was it good, was it bad? Non VA disability claims exploded under Obama, too, but we're talking about VA claims.
You dismissed the data with a claim that vets are committing less suicide, which I showed was false.
Why are the vets from the battle of Fallujah seemingly cheated? Or are you claiming that all the vets from the period prior to 2013 just started hammering filings? You take a lot of stuff as personal attacks or attacks on vets. If you could learn to be a bit more dispassionate, you'd be better working with people overall.

Did your job give you cancer? Did your job cause your life to be shortened? Did your job wreck your lungs forcing you onto CPAP, and no, I’m not out of shape. You want to know why PTSD is such a common diagnosis among current service members, burn pits. For years they said I had PTSD, it took the PACT Act to fix that diagnosis. The burn pits negatively impacted my thyroid causing Hashimotos syndrome which wrecked my anxiety. For an almost two years I was not able to leave my house due to fear of having a panic attack away from the house. Thankfully after the PACT Act, they got me on the right meds

Anxiety, depression, headaches, sleep apnea, foot fungus, hearing loss, tinnitus, etc, etc........gen pop has all that

Stress? That’s a bit different than burn pits exposure, firefight experiences, having mortars dropped on your arse in the middle of sleeping. Does stress force you to rely on a dozen medications today that impact many aspects of your life. I left the Army 20 years ago, I’ve never had a civilian jobwreck my health like the Army

I don't think it has changed at all. To want to eliminate fraud doesn't mean you support veterans less.

It doesn't matter if the claims still keep coming though.
The service member must have documented evidence across their length of service to VERIFY the claim. Even then, the VA makes a determination on if it is service connected or not.
People can file as many claims as they want. It doesn't mean they are all being awarded compensation for them.
