Pretty much everything has turned into a scam these days. Sad.

Is it time to talk about VA benefits abuse being another welfare scam?

No, its time to talk about how we chew up the bodies of men in the combat specialties and change nothing to prevent it. And THEN. Bitch about paying them disability.

Yeah and when you make head to toe complaints for disability, some things will be able to be proven as not related and some not so much. Whether they truly are related or not. Get a few doubts in there....cash the check

The service member must have documented evidence across their length of service to VERIFY the claim. Even then, the VA makes a determination on if it is service connected or not.

People can file as many claims as they want. It doesn't mean they are all being awarded compensation for them.

This is the point I was trying to make. If there is fraud, how is it occurring? Having been thru the process, the VA is extremely thorough with all elements of your claim. Are they now letting service members cheat? I want to know how the fraud is occurring.

Again, they can make head to toe complaints all they want when they file their claim.

If their medical records don't verify the condition occurred while in the service they are almost guaranteed to be denied.

There is no law preventing a veteran from filing a claim.

The burden of proof is on the veteran.

I'm starting to think you don't know what the frick you're talking about.

Yeah ok.

You are pretty naive if you don't see how to connect those dots to make it happen

Is there fraud occurring on some level?

Sure.

It's not at the levels most here would like to believe.

Veterans can file claims on their own through the VA website and upload medical records supporting said claim. It's free and they are able to do it whenever they want.

Veterans can also file a claim with the assistance of a Veterans Service Officer for free. The difference is the VSO files all the necessary documentation on the veteran's behalf.

Then you have the most likely source of fraud, the paid firms who charge a veteran a percentage to "help" increase their rating via new medical appointments with preferred doctor's offices to obtain nexus letters stating the member's condition was likely caused during their service commitment.

Form you. When you pretended any money saved wouldn’t be used for other purposes.

Do we knows this? If this is true, then pull the plug on any effort that doesn't have a return on investment. But is this true?

Of course it’s true. We’re not talking about accountants in an office somewhere conducting an audit. What you’re proposing requires veterans to go through the exact process that got them their current rating. We’re talking new appointments, new evaluations, new documentation, and new reviewals.

It’s unrealistic, so as I said, they’ll just drop all veterans VA ratings unilaterally.

I don't think it has changed at all.

You sure? Never in my life did expect MAGA to take this stance. But here we are.

Do you think there's too much waste/fraud in the pentagon budget?

Yes.

Do you think there's too much waste/fraud in SS and Medicare/Medicaid?

Yes.

So what are the chances that the VA is the only federal agency that in 2026, has so little fraud it ain't worth even looking at?

Very high. The reality is a VA rating is an extremely rigorous process. You’re not filing with some social worker at your local DSS.

A lot of people in college develop anxiety due to the stress. They should get a check for life from the University

Well, you're making retarded assumptions. I didn't say anything about what would happen to dollars no longer bilked.

I haven't proposed anything.

You're surprised that "MAGA" might be skeptical of how every federal agency/program spends money?

Because the VA is the lone federal bureaucracy that is super efficient and fraud-free.

Okay.

Are we really comparing anxiety from a classroom setting to anxiety from a battlefield now?

I thought you were just misinformed earlier.

Now I understand that you're just a fricking idiot.
