I have no issue with people who want to work less. Let them find a job/career that they can do that. Others have other priorities and goals.
For me - I am still trying to figure out how this lady is having trouble with life. She sleeps 9hrs a day and works 10 hrs a day (unless she is considering her commute a part of her workday). I am up at 4:15 for a workout, catch a bus at 6 to get to work at 7 and then catch a 4pm bus back home. Maybe get another 30-45 min workout in or hit the road and pick up kids from after school stuff. Dinner then in bed between 9:30-10. It’s long days, but make it happen. Every other Friday off helps, but that is the life we chose.
I know there are people who work at bike shops or backpacking shops in the mountains - put in their time and enjoy the outdoors everyday. That’s the life they chose, and good for them. It’s about your own priorities and the sooner you can figure that out the better.

You're right. I don't watch 99% of the videos posted here, especially after reading comments that only serve to ridicule her looks or some other trivial thing without addressing the content of the video (in this case). So I'm unable to extrapolate these individual videos to society as a whole.
To speak to your point about me being "above it all" - I do hope I'm "above" these low-brow threads and I think most posters are better than how they portray themselves in these types of threads.

Abolish all forms of welfare for the able bodied and they will get a job, or maybe two jobs.
Or they will starve, or get shot in the face when they try to rob someone.

This is so common these days.
The content of something bothers someone...so they lash out and passively play defense rather than address this underlying issue.
This woman is helpless. It's sad. It's generally reflective of the liberal woman with emotional issues. She can't function at even a basic level. Yet, she is convinced she is smart and the problem is with the system.

Probably not

It sounds like she just doesn't want the structure. That's fine. Go figure out something else to do to provide for yourself then. Just don't ask us to provide for you.

The content doesn't bother me. The faux "discussion" bothers me. People aren't discussing anything. They are insulting a stranger and bragging about their own perceived accomplishments.

And the men choosing to insult her for pages and pages are acting out of logic and reason - NOT emotion?
give me a break.

I can't remember the last time I worked less than 50 hours a week. I think it was around 2004.

They are insulting a stranger for what she's saying...which is an admission that she cannot function and work a full time job. It's kind of crazy that you view being able to function with a full time job as an accomplishment.

Yes. It's a rational, logical assessment of this woman for what she is saying.
FFS, this woman isn't able to hold down a job and bathe...and she doesn't find any fault with herself and furthermore thinks she is smart.

This bothers you which is why you are complaining so much. And, your response just proves what I I'm saying. Rather than acknowledge this person as having a real problem you've decided to blame everyone else for pointing it out.
Your response is a microcosm of the emotional liberal woman that results in people like the person in the video existing.

But why?
Is your life goal to work or to make money?
u cannot be this dumb. it helped me invest and get ahead. it allowed me to keep over 50% of what i make to invest in business.
you just live on EBT, welfare or disability huh?

Was you goal to work, or to make money? It isn’t a difficult question.
If your goal is just to ‘work hard’ then I assume you don’t care what you are paid.
If your goal is to make money, then I assume you would have made your investments with starter / gift money if it were available.
If neither was your goal, then I don’t know why you would reapond to my binary question.

Thanks to the men who have ruled our government and economy for hundreds of years, most women now have to do both.
That's true, and you know how they finally made that happen?
Feminism.
Wealthy industrialists (men) basically bankrolled feminism to make sure it happened. They wanted more cheap labor for their factories. They got it.

I'm a parent of small children.
Yeah. So is your husband. So what?

Mothers are the primary caregivers of their children (and husbands).
Right. Thanks for continuing to prove my point.

Thanks

This is equivocation IMO.
What the, "Well, no one ever regretted not working more on their deathbed" comments are ignoring is the degree to which this woman "wants to work less." And as with so many things in life, degree matters a lot here.
She's acting like the standard 40 hour workweek is tantamount to death by torture, and she therefore literally refused to do it. Like, at all. She literally stated that a 40 hour workweek was so intense that she didn't have time to attend to personal hygiene.
That's different than, "I wonder how I can arrange my life so that I can spend fewer hours working and have more free time. I'll have to give up XYZ, but that's o.k. with me, the time matters more to me. I know I'll have to put in some time now to eventually reach my goal, but I have a (2, 5, 10) year plan to get there."
She's not doing that. She's being so overdramatic and ridiculous about a standard workweek that it reveals a significant character flaw.
Look, I retired at 54. I don't do anything these days except what I want to do, despite having guys tell me things like, "I just couldn't do that, I couldn't stand not being productive." And of course, what they are really doing is criticizing me for not being productive enough in a backhand way.
So I get it. I could have kept my business until I was 65 or so. Sold it then, made a lot more money. I have everything I need, but I'm not retired in luxury. I'm not yachting around the world or anything. I could have made more and retired later with (much) more.
But I too am a "work to live" person. I understand, "Nobody ever wished they had worked more hours on their deathbed."
The difference between me and the woman on the video is that I understood that in order to eventually be a "work to live" person, I first had to be a "live to work person." And I was. I put in the hours, the time, the effort, endured the grind, and took the financial risk to make it happen.
In other words, I earned the right to sit at home and only do what I want when I want.
She just thinks she's owed that ability. It doesn't work that way.

I think you do more than hope.
I think making sure people know you are above it all is the primary reason you post here.
Otherwise, it doesn't make much sense that you keep coming back, does it?

I’d like to congratulate LA for banning the use of ebt cards to purchase candy and energy drinks. Tax dollars should only be used for necessities. Next on the banned list: 20 packs of pork chops, little Debbie cakes, and last but not least ribeyes. I’m all for helping the truly needy get necessities. I’m tired of watching the lazy freeloaders swipe an EBT card to buy pork chops, chips, koolaid, and little Debbie cakes as they walk out with 3 kids under 5. Rarely see anything for the kids and then they get into their 2024 SUV. Very carefully opening the door to that new SUV bc they just got their nails done.

Men blaming women for every single problem is an innovative approach I've never seen employed here before. lol.
