This isn't a mystery. Global expansion of the NFL brand is the league's stated most important priority. They aren't focused on an entrenched US audience that isn't going anywhere.
The show wasn't for me or you. It was for all the brown people south of us. It wasn't a mistake that at the end the American flag was just one flag randomly in the middle of all the other flags.

They really don't give a shite and it makes no financial sense. Are they trying to appeal to an untapped group of fans that are illegal? They are way past trying to appeal to their base.

I liked rammstein....and I can't speak a lick of German. Also like some songs from the hu. But I can't speak or understand Mongolian.

I speaks Spanish fairly well.
I have a son that is fluent.
