This is over. The border war is lost and Trump has nothing to do with it. Let it go.
The goal should no longer be closing or even tightly controlling the border, that won't happen, at least not in the way we all want it to. If conservatives in this country would just stop for a moment and recognize this truth, then we can let go of this futile battle and start fighting one we can actually win....
Conversion.
Hispanics are inherently conservative. Instead of screaming at them to "stay out!! Which will never happen. Do what the Left has successfully done and start winning them over. Welcome them and start appealing to their better conservative nature. There really Is no other strategy at this point.
The Democrat Party tells them the truth. The Republican Party lies to them. The Democrat Party openly tell them "we want you here and we want your votes". The Republican Party tells them"we don't want you here" and then quietly waves them through because they want the cheap labor. If both sides of the aisle were ever in lock step on an issue, it's the southern border. That border is where the Uniparty really shines.
If we want to maintain at least some conservative influence in this country, then maybe we ought to reconsider our approach when it comes to Hispanic immigration. Maybe instead of screaming deportation, which will never happen and will only drive them further into the folds of a cultural and political philosophy they really don't agree with. Maybe we should start focusing on trying to convert them into something like a South Florida Cuban. Yes, I know they're different and their path to this country isn't the same but I also know Hispanics have much more in common with American conservatism than Progressivism.
They're here. More are coming and nothing will change that. Win them over, bring them into something that feels right and natural to them or submit to those who are currently capturing them.
This is where we are now.

Dude, we're on the same page about 98% of the time, but when you trip into left field, you do it spectacularly.
We absolutely can (and need to) gain control of the southern border. We should not surrender the border to the billion illegals that'll show up if we don't.

We absolutely can control the border but we won't. The political forces that want it open are waaaay too powerful. I've accepted that truth. I'm grounded in that reality.
Try to convert as many as we can or let our political enemies capture them.
That border may contract from time to time but it will never close the way we want it to and they will always be allowed in.
Now if you believe in replacement theory like I do. Then what choice do we have, other than to fight for their political and cultural souls?
They're not going anywhere and they're never going to stop coming. The southern border doesn't exist any longer man. It just doesn't.

Imma vote for him but I didn't in the primary even when he was the only one left in the race because im not a politician cheerleader or cock rider like some on here are. Politicians are tools to be used and discarded when no longer useful.
