I bet conservatives would be more for abortion if they found out that most of the kids who are born end up being Democrats and also minorities.

This is like how liberals score tax policy. They assume that if they raise rates 10%, tax revenue will grow by 10% - it’s that simple. It’s beyond them to imagine people will change their behavior/decision making to avoid the new tax burden.
Who’s to say with abortion never being legalized and the black population double what it is today (or whatever it would be), that conservatives wouldn’t have gotten off their asses 50 years ago and changed education, culture, etc to show blacks why it’s in their best interests to vote with them. It’s not like we lost the black vote by losing an argument. We just never showed up to that fight.
