But I am not upset about doing this for Iraq. Probably the only good $20 million we spent there. Mea culpa

I mean if not us, we all know someone who could benefit from some of that drop in the bucket. We all know people that are trying and struggling day in and day out.

I've seen people begin to demand an immediate pause on federal income tax withholding as a result of all of this waste being brought to light. If that happened, and people saw for even two to four weeks how much money they're actually earning, the level of revolt that would ensue if they tried to reinstate withholding would be something we've never seen since the day's leading up to the declaration of Independence.

And it absolutely needs to happen.

Uhh. I do. I will not get close to paying 20 million in federal income tax in my working life. So basically… I will pay federal income tax my whole life to pay a piece of what it cost to make Iraqi Sesame Street. My… entire.. life.

And millions of American taxpayers are in desperate need of waking up to this abject grift of a system of taxation. Withholding is such an insidious evil that many don't give it a second thought, when it should be keeping them up at night, seething with anger.

We've even modified our language to create terms for before and after tax versions of what you get paid. The concept of "take home pay" is nauseating. Granting the federal government prima nocte rights with your earnings should make your blood boil. I know it would the Founding Fathers.

Reminder - the concept of an income tax was so onerous to them, it took a constitutional amendment to LEGALIZE THE PROCESS. It was that bad.

I wonder how much if that $20M went to Hamas, the Houtis, or Hezbollah??

I'd imagine the vast majority just went back to the queerbait Dems who appropriated the money.

Think about it - only 4% or so of the billions of dollars allocated to relief efforts after the Haiti earthquake actually made it there.

Let me find the bernaise on this.

I’m upset. It’s $20 million too much. I don’t want to send $20 million to Iraq for a cartoon, or $6 million to Egypt to improve tourism, or $8 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid binary gendered language, or $10 million to teach Moroccans pottery skills.
