my pipe dream...

3 term limit for all federally elected offices, save judges.

must have a working balanced budget or CRs can not exceed the previous balanced budget

Also, congress may not exempt themselves from laws they pass

20 year limit for being a federal judge. Get 10 years added if you make supreme court

Need to add in a lifetime lobbying ban once out of office. Return to being a citizen.

We need to get some of those establishment types out of the GOP in order for that stuff to fly even if we pick up seats this fall. Fortunately some like McCain and Ryan are on their way out but more departures are needed.

Abolition of IRS, replacement of income tax with National Retail Sales Tax, and repeal of 17th Amendment.

The more I think about term limits the more I think it would not have the effect intended. And possibly make things worse. It won't deter crooks from wanting to become politicians. All it will do is put a time limit on how much damage they can do which could have a much more drastic effect to the downside.

They say, "ok, how can I steal $10,000,000 from taxpayers in 16-18 years vs a longer amount of time?"

Could make for a more volatile term.

I get the frustration, but in a free, democratic society, people should be allowed to vote for whomever they like, as often as they like.

Two-term limit for US Senate because 12 years are more than enough.

A wise older gentleman told me several years ago when I was advocating for term limits.
He said that wouldn’t help.
The real problem is the lifetime beaurocrats in D.C.

Once we have a conservative court, could you get the court to require all laws be applied to Congress as well?

Theoretically it shouldn’t matter what party appoints a judge. All judges should base their decisions on The Constitution.
Be we all know that is not the case.
Therefore the more lifetime appointments of judges that adhere to The Constitution, the better.

the US is not a democracy.

There is a youtube vid that explains there really is only 2 types of governments, republics and Oligarchies. I think this is it. Watch it and you will understand why a true democracy doesnt work and how a dictatorship is realy run by a set group of people. LINK

"Politician" should never be a career destination. It should be a stop along the way for a person who is successful at other things and wants to make a difference as they go.

Mandatory retirement age of 75 for all Federally elected positions, regardless of branch. We don't need the McCains and RBGs deciding our futures on their death beds.
