Geaux to hell, Soyboy. This response has no bite. Everyone sees right through it. Keep squawking…it’s all being destroyed and there isn’t a GD thing you and your ilk can do to stop it now.

Hiring freeze, plus he's going to whack every Federal employee under 1 year probationary period (think all of Biden's last year of hiring - bye bye).

Also, some agencies have 2 year probationary periods, bye bye to them as well.

People who say it's not enough 15 days in...just wait.

Example: You have a yard day on Saturday, you start with trimming hedges, then your wife bitches you haven't mowed the yard yet...

fricking wait...47 has to start somewhere...

Considering that they have been collecting a check for 4-1/2 years and not coming into the office I’d say whatever it is it’s way to much. Probably get a least another 6 months of pay

How many months is Trump going to pay these 20,000 people to not work?

More importantly, how many will be hired with backpay once a democrat gets into the whitehouse?

Will the separation papers include a contract of "Never to work FedGov again"? Not sure how legal that would be.

When were you there last? Where is this office? What was the work schedule? How many 'pencil counters' did you employ?

This is the reason no Dem wants to confirm the legitimate picks of Trump, 'cause they are gonna dig all of this BS out and nail folks for it.

Gravy train over jackass Dems, game on!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't surprise me if 60-70% of the workers taking the buyout have +30 years and were looking to retire anyways.

wtf happened to the office furniture you had before going WFH?

Nothing to do with furniture. We have the same cubicle/office layout as before. We added a bunch of people and went to hoteling.

Last Thursday.

DFW area.

We were required to report to the office "four days per pay period" (we are on a two-week pay period). Any four days would qualify, they didn't have to be the same days each week. And "reporting to the office" included visits to contractors we were auditing, or travel days if we were going out of town on business.

There are approximately 60 people - from directors of major functions to travel assistants - assigned to our location.

Double up cubicle's, pull out the 6' folding tables & chairs and line 'em up along the walls till things get so tight, smelly and uncomfortable that folks resign.

I work in commercial real estate & management, our company owns a 500,000sf A+ office building with 50% of the square footage is leased by USDA and multiple federal government divisions.

Covid hits and immediately less than 20% of the government workers show up in person. For over 4 yrs now the government still pays top rents & operating costs for their vacant office space, there are entire divisions with office furniture and equipment unused and dark.

Rather than amend the lease agreement and negotiate a rent reduction based on unused space, they've continued to pay premium rents for over 4 yrs. This is great for the owners and our bottom line as operating costs are drastically reduced because landlord doesn't have to heat/cool or clean the vacant spaces and still gets premium rents from the tenant. But what a shitty way for our federal government to operate and waste taxpayers' money.

Its a start. I will take subtraction over addition everyday of the week in this scenario.

They're too narrow for two people to fit. And I mean people of normal size.

Plus, those who manage people can't have a cubicle since they need space for private conversations. I don't manage anyone, so a cubicle is just fine.

If you signed a contract, they’re obligated to pay.

The question is whether it’s a better deal than unemployment
