You want to know who those people are politically? Probably MAGA conspiracy loons, AKA roughly 30% of the Republican base.
And I do think the WH cares about that crowd. I think Trump is having the time of his life manipulating that crowd this time around. I think they play right into his fragile but huge ego. He can tell them ANYTHING and they accept it.
I think he got hooked on that drug before his his first term even started (thus the, "I could shoot someone in the face on 5th Ave. and my poll numbers would go up" statement) and I think he's only gotten more hooked on it since then.
I think he fricking thrills at telling them, for example, that we need tariffs to force free trade, and also to replace income tax, and also to bring back manufacturing, three reasons which are logically opposed to each other and logically cannot all be true, and delights at watching them accept all three reasons without question.
I think he's enjoying the hell out of dangling this obvious nonsense in front of them and watching them salivate for it.

See, this is exactly the "logic" that conspiracy loons use.
"They lied about some things. That means I can believe anything and if they deny it, that means it's proof that it's true."
The other fallacy that conspiracy loons LOVE is the Texas Sharpshooter fallacy. They love to say, "Well, the conspiracy theorists are batting 1.000, so this must be true as well."
When they aren't batting anywhere near a thousand because they only remember the conspiracies that turned out to be true and completely ignore the dozens that didn't.
I can post a dozen "false flag events" that people claimed on this board that were never proven to be false or staged probably without breaking a sweat (I've done it before, actually).
I could post another dozen Joo conspiracies that have never been proven probably without having to go back more than six months to find them.
That doesn't even get into the 4 years worth of Biden conspiracy theories about him being replaced by a look alike or importing illegals to arm them to subdue the citizenry.
So no, I don't think that just because Hillary Clinton suborned a false dossier about Russia and the media toted water for it, that means that we have evidence of aliens.

Something doesn't have to be true to cause a reaction. Our country was nearly destroyed because a criminal and meth/fentanyl addict died while being arrested.
