Right but neither of my statements were contradictory. Saying that I don't have all of life's answers in no way suggests that I am dissuaded one iota of both my and my Mom's destiny. There's a big difference in how you took my statements.

I never hit rock bottom either. Thought I had it all figured out actually. Good job, money in bank, good looking funny guy that women like, good family, loved and had plenty of weed. Thought I was happy actually. Then it happened, and my eyes were opened and I realized how lost I was.

Not trying to argue but I felt just like you bro. I was super friendly and got along with about anyone. Never stole, killed or had any pure evil intentions. Loaned money to needy family all the time too. But was lost.

But I have seen zero compelling evidence for any form of the supernatural. Until I have good reason to believe that deities exist - or Bigfoot,

Well, no disrespect, or attempt to "build on another's foundation" (Biblical)...but if "God is a Spirit"...then you will never *see* "compelling evidence".

The Bible also states that "God is Love"; do you *see* Love? In fact, does Love even exist to someone who has never experienced it? Same with Beauty. Or the color Red to someone who only knows yellow and blue. There are things of the 'Spirit' that ONLY exist in the perception of those who both experience and cultivate them; otherwise, they do not (Subjectively) exist.

"Behold, the kingdom of heaven cometh NOT with OBSERVATION; the kingdom of heaven is within"....and..."He will appear a second time unto salvation, unto THEM WHO LOOK for His coming". Implication being...if one ain't 'looking'...He ain't coming. Same with God. It's all Spirit. It's all Love; Love being the emotive feeling that is expressed in relative Unity between Perceiver and Perceived. Exactly as the Good Lord Jesus Christ spelled it out.

Here's some philosophical play: Two people die, and science bears witness that the same thing happens to both. I.e., that their physical-based Cognition...dissipates...back into the Matter/Energy Reservoir. For a Believer...such 'dissipation' would be a losing of bonds and a perfect Union with said Conscious Reservoir...aka God.

For a Non-believer, the same exact scenario would manifest...BUT...the FEELING would be 180. Meaningless dissipation (Hell?) for one as opposed to a feeling of hallowed Unity (Heaven?) for another. What if God gave us the CHOICE to either embrace Love (Unity)...or not. On/of our own volition, with zero coercion; for obvious reasons.

Not trying to muddy up your water, GT...just for the 'record'. It's what we Christians are bound to do. "Bought with a price".

Good luck.

And yet here you are in another thread on religion, poo-pooing (with quite a snarky attitude, I might add) even the possibility of the existence of an omnipotent, loving Creator.

You seem unable to resist the compulsion to vehemently argue every chance you get. I don't feel the absolute need to argue the existence of bigfoot, nessie, ghosts or aliens. I don't believe in them....I ignore those who do.
But for some reason, you feel compelled to engage believers, and expend a fair amount of time and energy arguing against the existence of something in which you don't even believe.

Seems illogical.

Nope ain't sayn that at all! Because I've already answered that question. A better question would be what was God doing with his time before the creation of the heavens and the earth? Hmmmmm.... Like getting to the center of a tootsie roll pop... The world may never know. I damn sure ain't got all the answers that's for sure. But maybe just maybe we will one day.

Great word of testimony. Came to Christ in March 1982. Many challenges and failings along the way but I am thankful every day for His shed blood for my sins. Glad you found peace in the Cross.

So ignore the thread if that’s the case. But we all know that’s not why you’re protesting the thread.

Lmfao simpletons like you can’t debate it. People like you don’t even know why Christians are singled out by leftist like yourself which is so telling. I’m not naive enough to think I have any idea about things that happened billions of years ago when we can’t prove things that happened on this planet just a couple hundred years ago. You morons who try to use “science” as camouflage to attack only certain beliefs are as obvious, ignorant and anti-scientific as it gets in this world.
