The democrat party in New Orleans murdered 11 Italians.

The newspapers, as today, fomented the violence and endorsed it.

History screams the consequences of the intersection of corrupt politicians and a corrupt news media. Nothing has changed!

And Hennessey Street isn't on the renaming commission's radar. (There's also Vespasian Street - he was the OG Hitler.)

My mother’s side is Italian. I need some money for this grievous attack on me from two centuries ago.

If you can still find it online, the write up on Carlos Marcello "Little Man from the Big Easy" has a good section on the lynchings.

There's a reason Franklin was weary of the press.

The largest mass lynching in US history.

Nola 1891

Additionally, these victims are further dismissed as their memory is NOT welcomed here:

Why not?

I know little about this incident, but from what I’ve read, nothing I saw corroborates this claim. Can you elaborate on why you said this? I am a historian so I am genuinely trying to learn here from someone that knows more about this than I do.

The people involved in orchestrating the lynching were registered democrats. It’s readily available information.
