I didn’t vote for Cassidy and told people not to.
But I’m just one person.

"The country needs an infrastructure bill. Desperately. This would have gotten 90 votes in the Senate under Trump.
I have no idea why he didn't take the easy win which the country actually needed."
That's a lot of non-sense. This was NOT an Infrastructure bill. Few oppose a real infrastructure deal. A small % of this goes to roads and bridges. Most are ok with Broadband. How are they going to know how many miles we drive? Let me know.
They "paid" for it with money they spent last year. NOT one who voted for this GOP or DEM, cares about the National Debt. They are disgraces. They should have returned that money to the US Treasury.
The two clowns walked out of the meeting with trump because they were not going to give him an infrastructure bill victory.

New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew told Forbes that he supports the bill and disagrees that it is linked to the reconciliation bill. “One is hard, real infrastructure … the other bill is a huge spending boondoggle.”
Are they really this dumb?

That stayed in this one huh? They could/will force car OEMs to track our cars and send it to them. And insurance companies will take advantage of that too so they can charge real time.

New York Rep. Tom Reed: "I'm a hard yes," Reed said on CNN on Friday. "It's a good bill. It's a compromise bill. That, to me, is good legislation, sound policy." He estimated that 10 to 20 Republicans will support the bill.
I bet this putz couldn't spout out 10 things in it pretty quickly

And yet, Trump did not propose ANY infrastructure bill. If he did and Dems opposed you would have a leg to stand on.

The money in this bill will largely go to poor communities to bring them up to the level of the suburbs and affluent areas that pay the majority of the taxes. Better roads, internet, water, climate change-friendly public transportation, etc.
Nearly everything in this bill should be paid for by private companies and localities.

Live in Mississippi. Will remember Wicker's vote when he is up for re-election. Hope we can find someone appropriate to primary him.

That's apparently exactly what Dems used against Trump a few years ago, that approach.
Trump presented an infrastructure plan to Congress in February 2018, with $200 billion in federal funding and projected it would result in $1.5 trillion of investments from the private sector. Democrats opposed this plan because of its emphasis on state and local funding and private investments.

I will be contacting Wickers office to express my displeasure and let him know that I will be discussing this with my friends, many of whom have been big supports of his since his first run for the Senate.

In Louisiana’s defense, Cassidy is only in his second term. When he ran for re-election, he had no serious GOP challenger, just a collection of democrat SJW marxists and corrupt machine politicians. Cassidy ran as “pro Trump” and was on the ballot with Trump, causing him to get re-elected in an open primary by a landslide.
If Cassidy had been forced to contend with a mediocre conservative challenger in a closed primary, he would have had some difficulties.
