It’s not worth the hassle and the staff all hate working during such a festival.

Imagine how many extra lemons and sugar packets you’d go through.

If you know, you know.

The wife and I were down at Litchfield one year and we didn’t know Black Bike Week was going on in Myrtle. Drove up to do something….wont do that again.

We did the same when we lived at lejeune, drove down for the day to do something. We went the week after black bike week and the place was trashed and I have no desire to ever go back to MB.

That reminded me of a bunch of Cubans trying to escape Cuba

I didn’t see any inner tubes floating a 57 Chevy.

Dirty Myrtle has its place. Guys golf trip or work conference? Absolutely.

Beach weekend with the family? Nah…there are much better options.

Yep. I’m told a high percentage of their patrons during such events have a problem with their meals after they’ve finished eating them and demand that their meals be comped. And there’s the classic not tipping thing. Small places lose too much money if they stay open.

Yep found that out real quick. Well south of the border should’ve been the hint.

It’s 100% true and when you don’t comp them they accuse you of racism.

It’s a lose lose

Do all the bars “close for renovations” that week?

That happens at Florida establishments.

Good chance for the owner to take a vacation and give staff a week off too.

It did until all the restaurants got sued by the NAACP back in the early 2000s.

I guess privacy is not a big issue for them.

J Edwards was the main restaurant that got sued. My dad knew Mr. Ed Fleming well. He was a good man.

Reason 5000 follow my rule of not living near black people in large numbers. This is sort of a corollary to the rule. Not only should you avoid living near them. You should avoid being anywhere they decide to show up in number. This rule is as rock solid as coulter's law. Know it. Follow it. Own it.

This is in Little River SC. A very small town on the border of NC. About 40 minutes from Wilmington, NC. Usually very chill., great mom and pop seafood places.

I have taken the casino boat out here to international waters. So safe you could bring gramma.

Trash gonna trash. This is why we can't have nice things.
