Payback game? Yes or No

If LSU finished the reg season with 1 loss (not to Bama), won the west, then won the SECCG....If Bama also had only 1 loss (to us), would you want them in the playoff with us or not? Discuss....

Yes. The only way 1/9 will ever be avenged is if we beat bama in the playoffs and go on to win the NC.

They'd be crying for a rematch after every game. It would reinforce their already entitled attitudes.
No, if we beat them, that's it. Why should the rules change for one team? I don't care how good they are. That's why you play them in the first place.

No way do I want to see them again in a play off If we already beat them. If we lost in the playoffs we'd be right back into the same post 1/9 situation.

The only team I "want" in the playoff is LSU.
When the day comes there will be endless threads on who fans want to be in to match up agaist us .
Its always seemed bad karma to wish for or against teams you face to me college or pro.

frick no. Go look at the NFL record of "revenge" games in the playoffs. It's not good for the team that won the first matchup.

no, i would rather not face bama twice. especially after beating them once already.. but you know if bama has 1 loss they are going to put them in there..

I am SO tired of seeing 21-0 posted every thread on SECr. Beating Bama in the reg season won't change that at all. Only a NC payback can make that feel better.

Emotionally I like to see our Tigers beat Bama twice in a season, but logically in the playoff I don't want to play any team we've beaten in the regular season.

I agree with this 100%, but I disagree with others who think that we have to beat Bama in the NCG to avenge the NCG loss. I guarantee that if we beat them 21-0 in the regular season, they will stop posting "21-0" as a comeback response on the boards.

What if it happens again? We beat them in the regular season and then they hand us a loss in the playoffs to go on and win the title again.

Making the playoffs will be the goal of every team in the NCAA. Being one of the four teams in is a good thing for a program.
I do not enjoy good things happening to Alabama.
