Some of you might remember Brad McKee.. the marine who ran 100 miles nonstop a little over 4 years ago to raise money for injured soldiers. Well.. he's currently in the middle of a 200 mile run for the same cause. I don't know how this is physically possible.. but more power to him.

You can donate money and run a portion of the race with him. This is supposed to last until Saturday. Information at the link below.
The Disposable Heroes Project

Here's a LINK to a news story on the run. He's running from Port Sulphur to Hammond.

He's run a little over one marathon so far and going strong.

Somewhere over 50 miles Thursday night:

Update: Almost noon Friday, not sure where they are now but I think they are approaching the 100 mile mark

I remember him from LSU. Nice guy, I contacted him via e-mail when he was doing that and voiced some support and he was appreciative. His pictures and updates have been on the Disposable Heroes Project Facebook page for the last week or so.

Good on him. It's pretty warm out. I'm sure 200 miles on a 60 degree day isn't exactly a walk in the park, but man, 200 miles on a day like today would be brutal.

I really don't know how he's going to finish. When he did the 100 mile run, he "ran" it in about 33 hours if I recall correctly and pretty much had to be carried across the finish line. And that was in April.

His estimated finish time is late Saturday afternoon.

I had a hard time finishing my 4.25 on Monday, because its really starting to get hot. I'm hydrating up to do 5 this evening.

Honestly, running 200 miles without stopping is probably one of the most impressive feats I have ever heard of.

I'm not trying to diminish the guy or anything, but people run 100+ mile races all the time. There are hundreds of them and they get full within 24 hours.

There is a 135 mile Ultra through Death Valley called Badwater. It's so hot that they have to run on the white line on the pavement of their shoes will melt.

But good for this guy
