I'm just going to leave this here and step away.

While LSU’s defense has statistically fallen this season, the Tigers’ struggles on third downs have been exaggerated by focusing on three or four failures rather than the greater number of successes.

The article uses a lot of generalities and goes back a few years to make his point.
Quite frankly, it doesn't matter how good Chavis' defense was in 2009 or last season. This season, it stinks. Ole Miss, for crying out loud, made a living out of converting on 3rd downs against LSU, regardless of the yardage needed.

Chavis' defenses suck arse when it matters the most. Well at least, the least of the time they do.

Yes only focusing on the failures in critical situations, but I mean frick we were stopping the likes of Furman on 3rd down all through out the 3rd quarter. Why can't people see this????

Our d didn't play bad against furman, but it's furman. Their soccer team prob has better athletes.

our defense, no matter how much they are struggling, should be able to stop furman consistently, which they did in the second half.

I have never heard of a school paper that bashes its athletics as bad as this one does.

Ummm....did they not watch the Ole Miss game? What were they, 11/19 or something like that on converting 3rd downs...most of them 3rd and 8+

Hell..even their own school 99% of the time. The reveille is a bunch of liberal frick tards that need to just move to austin and all be happy with each other

I probably shouldn't have posted it.
I support the coaching staff, but I wouldn't call myself a pumper like the author of this article.
