Do you like the Shift? I wasn't too impressed the one time I tried it.

A Coors light with a hop pellet thrown in it.

OP, you live on the river or are you there on your day off?

Well, it is a decent beer for light work outside. Way better than fat tire, IMHO.

S14, dad lives on the Amite and I came out to hang out and enjoy the day. Got involved in a few yard work projects as well.

Gotcha. About to get a Kayak. Was hoping I had connections close by to waterfront property.

But it's better than no beer. Will get some Sweetwater here in about 2 hrs.

You can come put it here anytime, drop my name if you need to. There is a decent sandy bank and dock, great on Sat/Sun morning but busy in the afternoons.

I see yakers on the Diversion during the week when there is little boat traffic. You can also launch at Bayview on Hwy 16 between Port Vincent and French Settlement for plenty of water away from big boats...

I'll have to see what I get in to. I have a lake in my neighborhood but I think I'll outgrow it pretty soon or just want to go someplace more fun on the weekends.

you can ride the wakes down the Diversion on the weekend to Blind River Bar. It would be almost like white water rafting except without a current...

Tickfaw State Park is fairly close, I've canoed there before, definitely can see some gators.
