re: Zero Turn Mower Help!!

Yes sir country yard. I keep up with them limbs pretty good but there are the occasional pine cones, roots, low spots, etc.

I got her to track straight but man I can’t get her to stop spinning when turning.

I’ve even let almost all the air out of tires to see if that helped but it didn’t.

25 years ago I bought an X-Mark and loved it.

The guy I bought it from retired and sold his business to someone who was not trustworthy, and extremely poor service so my next mower was a Gravely. It was a big lemon with many recalls, terminal engine problems, broken pulleys, all within 1 year.

I got my $ back from that one and bought a Kubota Z7 ( I forgot the exact number, but its belt driven and not shaft driven). No regrets

Well damn I went and looked at some Gravleys today and thought they seemed decently built and much more reasonably priced. I’m going to Kubota tomorrow…I really appreciate everyone’s’ input. Seems like I was about to make a major mistake and needed to do some more research.

I really don't get your statement, I cut my grass with a Case IH DX25e and it's superior to a ZT to me. I've got a 4ft loader (quick attach and never mow with it on) with a 60" belly mower. If I had to do it over again I'd probably have the tow behind finish mower. It will go places a ZT will not (4wd) and it has more ground clearance for picking up limbs and trash in the woods, the loader is way better than a wheel barrow and shovel too.

Not mine but the pic is identical to what I've got. Mine is a lot better paint and has turf tires.

If you decide to go with Kubota keep in mind that if you finance it you’ll be covered under their insurance. It’s extra and mandatory but it’s built into the payment and it’s absolutely awesome.

On a scale of 1-10 on how rough my property is, I'd say its about a 4. Nothing too crazy but a few spots where the hosue pad and driveway have some runoff ruts that I have to slow down on. No roots to worry about now because I just planted 6 live oaks that are only about 5-6 ft tall. Nothing I can't run over and not mess up the blades though. Only thing I would change is probably would have gotten the airless tires had I thought about it at the time. I do have the trailer hitch attachment and also pull a sprayer and fertilizer at times.
