Truly sorry if already posted -- this video is a few years old.
Over 2 hours long video of this guy's run on Lake Erie and St Clair. Around the 14 minute mark, he runs into a squall that is carrying serious wind and waves. Around the 44 minute mark, he's running WOT and someone passes him and absolutely runs off and leaves him -- would love to know what that dude was running. They get back out on the main lake and get pounded for another hour. Can't imagine the back pain. That boat and motor absolutely put in some work.
ETA: no, I did not watch the entire video.

This is from Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio. Every day I ran from Sandusky bay, Ohio to the Metro park area on lake St Clair, Michigan. Every day running over 200 miles round trip. This video is my return trip from St Clair to Sandusky. We had 30+mph winds and a few nasty storms which made for a rough ride coming back. I wanted to post this video to show what our equipment can withstand! Super proud of my Phoenix/Mercury for getting me home safe everyday!
ETA: no, I did not watch the entire video.

Must have been a tournament. The BASS anglers were going from Westwego to Venice and back everyday for the Bassmasters Classic years ago. Had to rig their boats up with sonar to beat the fog and plan to bring or stop for gas on the river. It's crazy and a gamble, but produced for many of them even with limiting their fishing time to about an hour or so to get back in time for weigh-in. And KVD was right there by the launch and catching the winning bag in Lake Cataoutche
I've seen redfish tournament anglers driving from Bridgeside Marina in Grand Isle to fish in Delacroix. If there's big money on the line, you do what you have to do.

Aussie gives up his Florida honey hole while using lightning bass boat.

Jesus that hurts just watching it. That baw driving the boat is a pretty good hand navigating some pretty damn nasty water in a bass boat and never once stuffing the bow.

Yes he was... but he also made me nervous as hell with his no-hands driving and his fumbling with glasses and hat.

He appears to have slowed down a little there because the beating was getting a bit much. But yeah, ol baw in the other boat had to be younger with a more rubbery spine
That reminds me of the guy in sorrel who has twin 300s on a damned crawfish boat.
I was running low 80s on my old ski and he and about 9 people just walked on by running from the bayou.

There's a lot of chatter out there now that tournament fishing is just a money sink for these guys. I commented on a YT channel from a BASS pro asking what do these guys make? This guy said his checks pay for half his expenses. He said he was addicted to fishing like people are addicted to gambling.
