Sitting here procrastinating for finals and its got me thinking. If you won the lottery or came across a large sum of money and could get any piece of hunting property you wanted then what would you choose? I think for me I would love to have some property on one of the islands in the Mississippi River. Its fairly close to where I live and has excellent deer and duck hunting. What is yalls dream property?

100 acres of flooded timber/rice field in northeast Arkansas for waterfowl and 1000 acres in Calhoun County, Illinois for deer.

Dream property depends if I won a couple of million or 300 million. It would depend on if I am done with work and travel is not an issue. Ideally, I would have local property and property in somewhere like Kansas...

I daydream about this all the time. It's getting in the way of my work.

I need at least 1000 acres, mostly hardwoods in north desoto parish, so that i want have a long drive to town. At least 3 nice creeks running through it. I would pick 100 acres for my house and a small 100 yard shooting range. No hunting in this zone.

With the rest of the 900, I would split it up between my 6 family members to hunt 150 each. A road system setup so that no one has to drive past each other to get to thier stand/blinds.

A 80-100 acre lake stocked with Florida Bass,m but that would be on top of the original 1000 acres....

Yes please.

Lentikov Cove, near Haines, Ak. I'll buy land to retire near Haines, but in this cove would be my ideal location. Just a couple of acres, it's surrounded by public land. There's a deep water lake just behind the cove so you get the benefit of fresh and salt water. It's on the road system and ferry system. Bears, moose, deer, salmon, halibut...

1500 acres in the west (not CA). Creek running through property, plenty of hills, plenty of timber, plenty of grasslands.

landsof(enter your state here).com is a real productivity killer for me when I start dreaming like this.

If I didn't have to go to work, I'd still have to live somewhere close enough to town to get my kids educated and keep my wife happy. I'd be perfectly happy with a few hundred acres in St Francisville on the river, and spend the money on annual trips to the Midwest.

If we are just being ridiculous, I'll buy 10,000 acres in north central Kansas.

I've only got 2 acres in Stonewall.

I dont think anybody around this area has that much land. Not one individual atleast.

Atchafalaya Basin. That's where you'd find me if I won the lotto.
