That's gotta be a really bad feeling when you first see it.

Sucks but it's apparently extremely common, especially on the Fords. From insurance studies I've seen the 08 and up F250/350 are the most stolen and Houston and Dallas are the two worst areas. The 08 and up tailgates have the indented "SUPER DUTY" across the bottom so people with older Fords like to upgrade, plus then onces with reverse cameras/man steps are $$$. Mine stays locked at all times, I'll have to look into the hose clamp trick since if unlocked they can be removed is ~60 seconds.

So you guys honestly believe you would feel good about yourself if you walked up on someone stealing your tailgate, he tried to run, and you put a bunch of holes in him and watched him bleed out?

If they are doing it in my driveway/garage they get held at gunpoint till po-po arrives unless they happen to go offensive.
In a parking lot ,etc they win an arse-whipping that will leave them wondering why they chose a life of crime...from a hospital bed of course.

It would be better practice than a paper target. Just gotta shoot him from the front too and come up with a good excuse for shooting him in the back. Not too hard, plus, who GAF about some random guy who is a thief. I don't know them so they mean nothing to me
Anyone got more info about this hose clamp dealy? Maybe a picture or two? The bolts in my tailgate come loose just from riding on logging roads a bunch
