When you get up close and personal with a lower gi bleed or some burnt human flesh, then you will know what it means to have bad memories of a smell. Those smells are magnified by the visuals and you never forget them.

Worked at a veterinarian practice in high school, went on a call about a calf that needed pulling. Turned out the calf had been dead for several days, had started to rot inside the cow and had to be cut apart inside the cow with this wire saw thing. The sight and smell of a rotting calf plus blood mucus afterbirth and everything else coming out of a cow in little pieces is something I will never forget.

When I was 11, i was right next to a septic tank when they cracked it open and started to rake it. I puked immediately and remember the smell today 49 years later.

on opening day of dove season, i was sitting in the field in my dove chair. you know....the ones with the built in ice chest.......anyway, i openned the ice chest to put a bottle of water in it and voila, 4 doves (picked) that were in there from the season before.

I stripped a girls pants off one time, in college, after night of dancing and partying...

I told her to get dressed and GTFO. It stank so bad I can still smell it. Yes, true story

Worst Smell You've EVER Smelled? quote: Rabbit guts this

Reminds me of a time that "a friend of mine" took some friends rabbit hunting in "his" jeep. They took of the top and shot off of the troll bars...just threw the rabbits behind the back seat where there was a rubber matt but the mat had a plug in it that was pulled. The nasty rabbit juice of about 50 rabbits all ran down into the screws of "my friends jeep. shite got ripe the next few days until "he" had the chance to take all of the seats out and hose the whole inside out.

Dead shrimp left in an aluminum boat for a few days. Nothing on this God given earth can possibly smell worst than that!

I once got kicked out of a KOA camp during some night fishing. I took one of the sand trout out of my bucket and snuck it underneath the back carpet of the KOA security guard's S-10 pickup. This was August in Freeport TX...I'm sure that would have been one of the worst smells had I actually had to smell it. That bitch should have just let us continue fishing.

After hurricane Ike we went down to fourchon to clean up the camp. No one had been since a month before the hurricane to clean out. Had 2 freezers full of fish and none of the neighbors wanted to get it. My dad and I went 3 weeks after the hurricane. I had never seen my dad get sick before, but it was so bad we took turns going in with a trash bag and coming out throwing up every time. I can smell it while typing right now :yak:

Had a buddy who was a Homicide Detective for NOPD 5th district (9th Ward). He worked a scene one night in which he had to collect a victims bloody clothes that were cut off by the medics. Dumb arse accidentally left the bag in his trunk for a few days.

The day he "remembered" about it he decided to prank me and asked me to help him get something out his trunk. When he popped that latch and I got that first whiff I immediately started hurling.

I can smell it while I'm sitting here typing this.
