hard choice btw:
1. ice chest full of fish from Smith Bay that sat on balcony for 3 weeks. We dumped it in dumpster 50 yards away and the whole complex was horrified.
2. dolphin carcass on Grand Isle beach. someone used to collect skulls so he spent 10-15 minutes attempting to remove the head of this half rotten cetacean. It was so terible he had to quit, but the stench lingered on his hands for 3 days afterwards.

one summer in college went frogging, came home with frogs on ice, cleaned em, put heads back in ice chest and put next to shed.

Forgot about it for about a week, festering in the sun for a week is all a frog head needs to be one of the worst things on earth to smell.

I literally didnt know what to do, if I carried the ice chest it sloshed around and got everywhere. So I eventually backed my truck up to it carefully loaded and drove to a rural road, slid it out to my tailgate and eased off the road and gunned it, it splashed out and I just left the chest.

I am still sorry I did that to the next guy who came down that road thinking he found a perfectly good icechest.

#1 A shrimp boat sank and the only survivor was a poodle we found about a mile away on the shore. I was with the Sheriff's department dragging for bodies and we ended up snagging one of the Vietnamese shrimpers. He had only been dead for about 2 days, but even when we pulled him up on the deck in the open air the smell (and sight) was unbearable.

#2 Deer bones and scraps left in a sealed ice chest for 2 weeks on accident. I forgot to haul them off after deboning a deer on the back porch one day. It was sealed and there was no odor until I opened it one day. I think between the time I initially opened it and its final disposal I puked 6 or 7 times.

My parents have a workshop/storeroom where we had put an old refrigerator to keep all our game because we had too much to keep in the freezer in our house

Well I come home one day and something looks funny cause there are a bunch of trash bags out in our driveway and my dad is hosing some stuff down. I get out my truck and I can smell the smell or rotting meat from the street.

Apparently the fridge/freezer had gone out (it was about 15-20 years old) and no one had noticed until my dad went to get his lawnmower out and the smell hit him.

Lost a seasons worth of duck, squirrel, dove, rabbit and fish

Funny thing is though the next day a guy came with a dolly and trailer and took the fridge from the street probably didnt know what he was getting in to

Oh and not to mention my dad had to completely bleach his storeroom cause of all the blood and water that melted and flooded the floor....you could still get wifts of the smell 6 months later...we have since upgraded to a chest freezer

Cut the skull of a rotted buck to salvage the horns. That was pretty bad.

Also rotten chicken parts stewing in its own juices to bait gator hooks is right up there.

Spilled a huge container of cole slaw in company mini-van. Juice pooled in storage space.

Sits in parking lot over weekend.

Open door.

Que gag reflex for next 24 hours. My abs were sore for a week.

Outside? I hate the smell of a gator farm. In the hospital: GI bleeds are rough.

When I went to silliman we had a game called road kill war.

Basically we'd break into people's (from school) trucks and stuff dead coons, squirrels, opossums, etc. Hidden wherever we could,

One dude had it in his glove box for a while. Someone "tipped" him off that it was under the truck hidden really good. Dumbass never thought to look in the box and it was rank.
