No better powder available imo.

On the stand now with my bow. Hoping to catch me a doe sneaking by or something. Need to get my dad some meat lol.

I live 14 miles north of Liberty. The most rut activity I’ve seen was 2 Sunday’s ago when the temp dropped 20 degrees in a couple hours.
Hunting in Woodville this weekend trying to get my 12 year old son a buck and 10 yr old daughter a deer .

I’m more SW MS, Poplarville.
I stayed in the stand late and saw a buck chase a deer that was feeding.
It was too far/dark to see exactly what it was but it was chasing that deer head down and all.
Usually our rut takes off around this time. I shot one 2 days before the end of the season in February of last year chasing.

Still seeing does in packs. Killed one doe Saturday morning. Not a lot of movement due to this wind. Centreville, MS.

Next weekend is gonna be perfect temp wise, hope the wind stays down.

Hunted in woodville yesterday afternoon. My wife , my son , and I were all in good stands with zero deer. The wind was probably blowing 25-30. We are gonna try again this afternoon and head home. I’ll come back Thursday to make sure camp is good for freeze next weekend.

Woodville Friday evening had two does both with little ones. Nothing Saturday in the wind. Seeing lots of does on camera at night and an occasional buck. Question. Seeing does this late with yearlings have they been bread and back with the little ones or have the bucks not run them off yet?

Same here. Not sure but like you seeing does with yearlings. I’m going to a stand this evening along Browns creek that hasn’t been hunted this year . Several bucks in the area do hopes are high.

Probably won’t see squat.

It’s definitely getting later every year. Years ago I have killed bucks behind does in early December

Been at camp west of Centreville since Friday afternoon and haven't seen a single deer. Nothing moving.

Saturday i got out to my stand around 9:30 before the rain and sat til dark. Saw a small doe around 10:00, then about 5 min later a borderline shooter 8pt came out right behind her and ran her off. He followed. Then around 3:30 I saw another doe with a 1.5 year old 5 point no brows come out behind her as well. Stayed within sight for about 45 min. Trying his hardest to bust me, but i think the wind was almost too strong. He eventually got spooked and was hoping the big 7, with huge G2's and 3's im chasing right now was gonna follow. Never did. I'll try again in these frigid temps this weekend.

I have seen the most activity of the season the last 24 hours in the Liberty area. Does moving and a few bucks. Thinking this may be a second rut

That’s encouraging, heading up Thursday for a long weekend hunting the cold. Would like to put one more in the freezer.

My friend just sent me a picture of a nice buck this morning in a plot at 945. It’s about 6 miles east of Woodville.

Had 3 bucks on a doe this morning. 5yr old 7pt I’m very familiar with was side stepping and story wheezing at 2 other younger 8pts that wanted a piece of his price.

I’m on the extreme southern part of Wilkinson Co

I sure hope so because the first rut was a bust! Hopefully the cold weather has them up and moving this weekend.

Let's hope. I'm gonna fight thru it and sit in the stand in "feels like" 16 degree weather tomorrow and satuday. Hope another buck makes a mistake for me lol
