Will a 275/65/18 tire most likely fit on wheels that currently have a 265/60/18 on them?

My neighbor has some practically brand new tires that he's willing to sell me for very cheap that came off of a Ram.

They are a slightly different size than what's on my F150. Figured someone here would probably know.

Go to tiresize.com.
Gives you all the specifics you want as well as a visual aide.

265/70/18 fit on my 2018 Titan. Maybe this helps maybe it doesn't.

Won’t matter. You won’t be going far, anyway.

It's been a great truck actually. Haven't had a single issue with it in 5 years

Thanks that helps a lot. Looking like it would throw my speedometer off slightly.

rim size is the main thing but those other numbers mean more about how tall and wide the tire is so use this chart to see what the differences are from yours. check this link - LINK

275/65/18 tire is 31" tall and 10.8" wide

265/60/18 tire is 30" tall and 10.4" wide

another thing to watch is if they arent marked where they were on his truck as well as direction of travel, they will develop eggs from rubber separating from the radial belt and go bad on you quickly. its not an absolute certainty (it depends how long they were on his truck) but they go bad in most cases unless they are placed on your truck and rims so they still go in the same direction they were in before

if they havent been on his truck for more then 1000 miles then direction of rotation shouldnt be an issue since the tires havent broken in to a certain direction of travel yet

Doesn’t this happen every time you rotate tires?

That will work. Even between tire lines within the same brand tires are not the same size. When buying track tires they usually list a minimum and maximum wheel width, I would assume that data is available to installers for every tire.

Everything should fit BUT, the 265 is slightly shorter and by this your speedometer will show you running faster than actual. Your mileage will also show more miles than actual.

Yeah according to the site in the first reply I could be off up to 5 mph at 70. I think that would drive me crazy. I'd rather pay $600 more for the right sized tires

Putting larger tires on my Tundra actually brought my speedo up to dead even with speed given on GPS. It was running slow on the original tires.
My last truck was about 5 mph off at 70 but I don’t pay attention to speed anyway really so it didn’t bother me.

You know that you can program the speedometer to match the size tires, for like $25 at most mechanics?
