You do not want to rockset on a semi auto. These suppressors and the flow through specifically have to be cleaned I. A cleaning solution.

If you wanted to put the suppressor on a 300 blackout for example, that’s threaded 5/8x24, you would just need a 5/8x24 to Keymo on the end of the barrel. It’s easy to swap the suppressor between host guns with that system.
The WB is a .22 caliber can.
You can not shoot .30 through a .22
Well, you can but only once.

Accuracy range is less than a hundred yards
12" plates at 200 all day long...
10/22 w/18" barrel, nothing fancy, only upgrades were Federsen barrel and bx trigger shooting CCI sv..

It is the most approachable movie quiet set up out there.
Most cans are just making your rifle hearing safe or near hearing safe.

Best 30 cal can for a bolt action? Hyperion or the cat Jl?

That's why I bought a bolt action. I shoot target rounds from lapua that stay subsonic. First time I shot my setup I thought it misfired until bullet hit the target.

Entirely depends what your criteria is. Everything is a tradeoff.
I guarantee the cat JL is a quiet suppressor but it’s also very long.
And may be more expensive than necessary for strictly going on a bolt action. The 3d printed low back pressure design may be “wasted” on a bolt action.
But I promise it would be a phenomal can.
I would narrow down with what size your willing to go with and how much sound your willing to trade off with it.

Cancontrast.com is good to help visualize

Precisely why a suppressor is awesome. It takes an already (relatively) quiet round and makes it so quiet I can plink in my backyard without my neighbors knowing. And I live in a suburb.
Also, a 22 out of a pistol is not as quiet as you imply. I won’t shoot it without earplugs. Out of my old Marlin rifle yes it’s very quiet and no plugs needed, but from my pistols it’s still a little loud.

Why? Because a suppressed .22 lr is one of life’s great pleasures

Quick update on the funds that this thread caused me to release, and it's not even for a damn 22... yet!
I ended up ordering a Lazarus 6 from Silencershop for my AR15, did the prints thing at Bowie yesterday, and finished docs today. Looks like its up to atf now.
Now for the .22. I don't have a threaded 22, but been looking at them. I'd really like a 10-22. Black stocks don't turn me on, but that seems to be the easiest thing to find. Will keep looking.
Looking at the el camino and the occulus for the can.
Open for any feedback on either. Will go back and read this thread again.
Do yall order can when they show backordered? Do they start the background stuff immediately or wait for it to be in stock?
ETA: Seems like a good time to get a .22 handgun too.
ETA: Easy enough to move a can from gun to gun?

I have both
They are both very quiet and very good cans.
El Camino is much lighter than the oculus but longer.
The oculus is modular. The short version is great on a rifle and decent on a pistol. Short version is fairly loud on a pistol.
It would really be a toss up between those two for me.
Pistol:
Sig p322. Very finicky with magazines
S&W mp22 great little gun but only 10rounds
Browning Buckmark - another great one and very accurate.
Others I don’t own:
Ruger 22/45 - mark 5 whatever. One of the best available
Taurus tx22. Nothing but great reviews. I will buy one at some point.
Yes, easy to move cans from gun to gun.

I ordered an occulus when it was in stock. It’s awesome. I mainly keep it on a Ruger American rimfire. Stupid quiet. I lucked out and already own an sig 622 pistol. An adapter later and it is now suppressor ready and fun to shoot. Can’t go wrong with the Rugged. I would buy more but a 30 cal can is next.

About half way through the movie "Shooter". Bobbie lee Swagger, offs a dude who was fixing to gut his partner,,,,,using a 22 with a liter pop bottle for silencer. It was quiet enough to allowing taking out a second bad guy by surprise . The movie audible vividly showed the effectiveness.
Thats probably enough

Keymo
Keymo is only one brand of hub adapters, and that one is specifically Dead Air.
- Rearden is another (mostly preferred)
- SilencerCo ASR/Bravo mounts (I have this and it works great)
- Griffin Armament
There are others but those are the only ones I’m short memory and probably the most popular in addition to the Dead Air Keymo.
The benefit of hubs is that you can remove the can from fun to fun pretty easily.
r/NFA has a consensus that you want to rocksett the muzzle device to the barrel and the hub to the suppressor. Do NOT Rocksett the muzzle device to the hub.
Also, when choosing a muzzle device, it’s a good idea to determine how much shooting you’ll actually be doing. If it’s a lot, a muzzle brake will lengthen the life of the suppressor as the muzzle brake can act as sacrificial baffle before the gas/flames actually hit the suppressor.
If one doesn’t care about that, get a flash hider instead.
That rule typically only applies to ARs with 16” or less barrel lengths. 20 inch barrels typically doesn’t matter since most of the gasses are burned by the time the bullet reaches the suppressor.

I saw a movie one time where both the good guys and bad guys were using revolvers.
They shot hundreds of times and not once did they ever reload. Just shooting and shooting and shooting.
I thought they may have been shooting some kind of laser revolver or something...

Anyone have thoughts on the integrally suppressed 22's?
I saw a few mentions here. Good, bad, hard to get?
Seems like availability in this whole seems hit or miss, mostly miss.
Guess so many options, hard to inventory that much? Or true manufacturer shortages?
