Flip flopping back and forth between yes and no. Not sure I want to be in that crap just for a deer or a hog.

Wind chill in Opelousas is going to be below 10.

I’m not waking up early on New Years Day but want to hunt the afternoon. But I dont like that 20-30mph wind forecast. Already not a fan of heights and sitting in my climber while the tree is swaying doesnt sound too fun to me

I hunt just a tad north of Waterproof. Will be bundled up. Bucks chasing hard especially the last 3 days. I’ve seen several nice bucks the last few days just not the 1 I’m after. Does are hot again. Good fellas

I put 50 lbs of Corn and a bag of Rice Bran out in the corner of a field today.

I can sit in the truck 225 yards away and watch it with the heater running

Below 20 I'm out, too old

I just got home this morning from 4 days of muzzle loading in Southern Missouri. The high for 4 days was 33. Lows were 9, 11, 12 degrees with highs of 23 on 2 days. The does we’re moving and feeding but I didn’t see one buck from the stand.

Rut is long over. I went back chasing 2 monsters we had pics from gun season in November.

With proper gear, it’s not too bad, except on the toes. They get cold no matter what! Lol

Tuesday morning looks like it’s gonna be the real deal. Lows in the teens and 10mph+ winds.

I have a box stand and ground blind i’ll plan to hunt every morning this week. Heater rolling of course
