I have a P238 its my carry gun...I didn't want it to be shinny and eye catching...so I went with the all black (nightmare) type of look on mine.
If you are just going off of looks the Equinox wins everytime. It was the one I wanted for the P238 until I realized it was going to be hidden 99% of the time.

+1
It depends on what you plan to use it for. I'm assuming it'll mostly be a carry piece so I think it's really up to you.

i mean its gonna be my conceal carry.. but it being shiny and flashy doesnt botther me really because it will be concealed and no one see it

My Kahr CM9 and Ruger SR9c both have stainless slides. It doesn't bother me one bit. They may be shiny but as you state, it's no big deal if it'll be concealed most of the time.

yes carry piece.. and like i said 99percent on equinox.. it wont scuff up or nothing worse than the all black one would from being carried in a holster would it?

I agree...but I carry mine in a IWB so that means there are times my shirt could ride up and expose my weapon...while this has never happened to me it was something that I thought out. And figured people could identify the shinny parts of the gun easier than if it was all black and looked more along the lines of a cellphone holder or something of that nature.
But its really up to you...get the one you like the most.

Nah. Just get a leather holster if that really worries you. But most IWB holsters have retention on the trigger guard, not the slide, so there is minimal scratching on the finish.

Even if that were the case, it's not like you broke any law. Accidental brandishing is different than intentional brandishing.
Well at least I think it is...

thanks! im sure i will end up with equinox... i just liked those grips on the extreme
Posted on 4/8/13 at 11:40 am to oleyeller
If it were me, I'd get the Equinox. If you really like the grips on the Extreme, you should be able to buy just the grips and put them on the Equinox (should be a 5 min project).

I think you're wrong. It's your duty to make sure it stays concealed. Accidentally brandishing is no excuse.

The guy that gave my CHL class in Texas kind of made a big deal about. He didn't say you would lose your ability to carry he just said it could be an uncomfortable situation if you all of a sudden have a couple of cops in your face. Because someone called in about a guy having a weapon.

There's a difference between accidental brandishing and negligent brandishing though, just like accidental and negligent discharges.
If you walk around all day with your shirt up showing your piece, that's negligent. But if the wind blows and your shirt pops up for a second, that would be accidental.
But I do agree it is your duty to maintain concealment.
