Has the OB successfully educated all the slickers on identifying water snakes at this point?? Seems like I’ve only seen a few, “Snake ID” threads so far this summer. I really enjoy that every snake that’s in or near the water is either a cottonmouth or a GDCK!!!

Killed a cotton mouth in our backyard Thursday. Number 4 in 9 years.

Was trimming this and peaked around and saw it.

One possible explanation for the snake sighting reduction is the hard multiple day freeze Louusiana experienced at the beginning of the year. This resulting is a snake kill

I think all the Bigfoots running around have probably contributed as well.

They must have all migrated to Folsom, because I’ve found around 70 cottonmouths and caught about 20 around my land this year.

I killed a juvenile copperhead in my garage a couple weeks ago. That green tail was an easy identifier. Chopped his head off and threw him in the lake for the fish to eat.

You are a wild man, you know that? I commend you though, only snakes I’ve ever killed were moccasins. I’ve relocated copperheads and everything else I’ve run across
