Planning on heading out to chase some trout tomorrow morning Fourchon/GI area. Wind will not be my friend but don’t get to choose my days too much anymore.

Anyone else hitting the water this weekend?

Was going to finally spend a weekend at the camp in Pigeon. The river jumped a foot last night and it was already borderline high. Found out this morning I need another fusion and wanted to get a trip in before that. Hopefully its dry with a steady north wind all week next week.

Got two spots that should produce. I’ll be fishing white cans out of the ice chest and snapper/trout/redfish filets out of the grease.

You boys tear ‘em up.

Pretty sure the entire state of Louisiana is fishing Lake Darbonne during the weekends right now.

And every other lake every weekend.

Hopefully the shite forecast keeps some people on the bank.

Fished GI this morning. Few keeper trout, big drum, crap load of hardheads. Gonna start boiling some shrimp soon. Hopefully tomorrow morning produces some better results.

Bought some shrimp from sand dollar. There’s alot of dirty water but you can find some pockets of clean water.

Went to Hackberry today, caught a couple reds and a few flounder. Wind was hell, but we managed to scrape together a few.

Weather will suck the next few days so probably wont get back out this weekend.

Tides today really suck. The dreaded 4 tides with no range. Planning to go to Fourchon midweek when they improve.

We fished Big Lake yesterday afternoon and did good on trout chasing birds despite the wind. Most were dinks though but caught enough keepers to make a fish fry. Tried this morning before the weather rolled in and caught a few Reds. Might try it again if we get a break otherwise probably gonna start losing my money in a card game that is about to get started.

Little better this morning on the island. Caught 10 trout and 1 red. Half were over 16 inches.

Still plenty windy.
