I normally use Gulp Swimming Mullet but was wanting to try something else.

I've never been successful targeting flounder. Every time I've caught one I was fishing for reds or trout.

I've seen some videos on YouTube of guys using Bucktail Jigs. Never seen anyone in the marsh using them though.

Cut the belly out of a croaker and make some slices, attach to hook and gulp.
Sand trout work also.

Queen size cocohoe soft plastic in tuxedo. I jig it real close to the bank when the water is up and falling. Some trips I catch 2-3. Most have been small in past 3-4 years. Bigger ones in texas and miss for some reason. Think we have an issue in LA with the baby ones being killed as by catch from commercial boats

Anything gulp works well. Buggs Curltail jigs are great too. Im partial to any combination using a curltail grub for flounder.

Chartreuse Z-man curly tails with some pro-cure added have worked well for me and last a hell of a lot longer than gulps. They've been hard to find in that colour at times lately though. Cajun Lures mad minna in Main Squeeze colour has worked well as has Overcast's hyper minnow in the chartreuse.
Hard to beat gulp tho, just wish they were more durable.

My biggest issue is I get hung up on oyster shells alot when tryin to jig. In the yak I have seen flounder when I mosey over to clear the snag

Weedless jig head or rig the soft plastic weedless like you would with a freshwater bass worm

Stick with the Gulp Swimming Mullet. Came to post that when I read the title.

I put a gulp swimming mullet on a spinner bait and bounce it off the bottom or use double rigged chicken boy lures and bounce them off the bottom. I use pro cure too.
