I had a ranger banshee before. Poling Skiffs are awesome and if I had an unlimited boat yard at my disposal, I'd have one and a bay boat. I want the ability to get in a bay, but not at the expense of shallow water capability. I've watched these boats tear through Lake Decade, while my banshee soaked us in it's mighty 1,5' chop . They can handle most of what I need. I fished Cocodrie a lot and never really left the marsh in my poling skiff. I'd take this out in the bay in a heart beat and easily almost anywhere someone would take a 20' bay boat.

It would have a Yamaha on the back though. Just noticed that.

I hear you on getting soaked. My whipray is a very wet ride. I will also rattle the fillings in your teeth in anything that isn't glass.

Interesting that tower boat will run in chop. Some of the IFA boats I've seen have zero degree deadrise and big vented tunnels. Seems like it would pound you to death in any chop.

What about the scooter deck tower boats? What's the advantage of the scooter besides not filling up with water with every wave you take over the bow.

What would the maintenance be on a boat like that per year? Not counting fuel, water, etc. but just general maintenance.

Approx. 10% of total cost annually

The tower with the tunnel CANNOT run in anything over 1.5 and you come out the other side with all your fillings. Some are better than others in a chop, Shallow Sport for example, but it's still a rough ride. They are made for running slow and very skinny.

I'm pretty sure the boat in that picture is not a tunnel hull. And I'd never have a tower on it for recreational use. I liked the Hayne Z21 for the longest time which has higher sides and is more of a bay boat. This is just the 23' "low sides" model. Again, not a lot of these boats around so I will admit to not having any experience with it.

Viking 92. Best of the best for offshore fishing and for first class entertaining. Now only to find the millions it will take to buy it and keep it operational...

The Hayne is popular in Texas and to some extent Lake Charles. Not a fan myself as the fit and finish is not what it should be for the price tag.
And you are correct that's not a tunnel.

Don't need anything special this yellowfin 24 bay carbon elite will get me by, but in the black paint scheme like bottom pic without the tower. Run somewhere around a cool 120k

Octopus generally comes in every September. There are a hell of a lot larger these days though.

This thing was here last summer

Possibly the best Bay Boat on the planet, and it should be at that price. With the 400 R Verado... WOW!
