What are y’all shooting this year? I’ve used muzzys and rages in the past, need to pick up a few today, but hadn’t now hunted in about 3 years so out the loop on anything new out there.

Heavy fixed blades. Kind of look like what I shot in the late 80s.

Shooting the Magnus black hornet serrazors. We'll see how they do, but fly perfect for me.

Agree with redbeard. I’ll be shooting reapers again. As far as the “latest craze” in the archery community, it seems like a good bit of folks are going to really heavy, cut on contact, single beveled type heads. They don’t leave much to chance.

Which seem like the answer to a question that was never asked.

Couldn’t agree more, but some bow hunters are constantly looking to upgrade or play with their setup. That’s just how the industry goes. More power to them. Whatever keeps folks interested and keeps people buying tags!

Hand sharpening to improve penetration!

Also please ignore arrow energy because "it's an irrelevant metric in the grand scheme of archery"

Came here to post this exact comment. I switched to a crossbow but I’m still shooting grim reapers. I shoot 3 blades out of my compound and 2 blades out of the crossbow.
I’m not sure why the heavy single bevels took off so much this year. They’ve been making them for years. I remember 12 years ago the Maasai’s showed up in the archery shop I worked at and nobody wanted to spend $80-90 for 3 heads and they collected dust. Now everybody wants to shoot them all of a sudden. I saw the hunting public guys are shooting heavy fixed blade setups now, so maybe that influenced a lot of people.

I’ll be shooting grims 125g this year. Had always shot rage but I’m tired of the rubber bands and O rings.

Wasp drones.

About to try VPA.

I should stick with the drones but if you tune right just about any fixed blade will fly well. Last year I killed a couple of deer with some old fixed blades my dad bought in the 80s. Don't fall for gimmicks.
