Classics that I've never read. Next on my list is where the red ferns grows. I've never read it. Along with the old man and the sea.

I got some Faulkner books on the shelf I've never read as well.

I remember crying like a little girl when I read that one. Great book. I need to find my copy and give it to my nephews.

I just finished "The Bear" recently. I'd like to read more of his stuff but they are usually some deep reads.

I read the sound and the fury a few months ago and it was definitely a slow read. Great story but it's a grueling adjustment to make.

Skeeter Pee Recipe

I sub lime juice for the lemon juice. I keb/carbonate it and salt a glass rim and serve over ice.

I've played with the recipe a bit and have made it over 10% ABV. I usually back sweeten with less sugar than recommended.

Old Man and the Sea is really good. All of Hemingway’s books are good, but all end in very weird ways. Borderline depressing.

Starting with Genesis in the Old Testament. As a Catholic, I never really read the Bible. So, here I go!

That’s a tough way to do it my dude. People tend to get bogged down in Exodus and Leviticus, and then just give up. I was raised Baptist, and was all set to be confirmed Catholic at the Easter Vigil until that was canceled.

I would get a good study Bible, and download an app that gives you the daily mass readings. Read those and then whatever notes are given with the study Bible on those scriptures. That way you’ll get a good dose of OT and NT each day, and mix it up.

I recommend the Ignatius Study Bible with notes by Scott Hahn. The issue is that it’s NT only.

The New Catholic Answers Bible is a good complete Bible. Has a lot of pages on answering questions that Protestants struggle with, like devotion to Mary, Purgatory, no contraceptives, etc.

Just my advice, take it for what you will.

Just read that in December. Kind of eye opening and hard to read at some points to due the graphic nature. Good read though.

I’ve read “the great alone”, the gray man series about court gentry, and all six of the lisbeth salander books (1st is girl with the dragon tattoo) All great reads.
