I been waiting for the short 357 to come out. Ill be ordering one of those this summer. Gonna be a great general purpose open sight rifle paired with my .357 wheelguns.

I was thinking the same thing, plus I have just experienced a renewed interest in wheel guns. Picked up a couple of Gp100s yesterday in fact. Hopefully Marlin releases these sooner rather than later.

I seem to remember a video (Hickok45 probably) where a Python would have some issues with double action use. Light hammer strikes in double action pull and maybe even some timing issues.

same. Picked up a pair of S&W 686s a couple years ago that, since then, it's all I want to shoot.

So on my list right now are-

model 629 in 4" and 6"
.500 S&W magnum
a colt .357 - either a python (not happening due to $$$) or a Lawman, Trooper or Mark III (saw a Mark III snubbie in a pawnshop for $450 a while back, still mad at myself for not buying it)
A .44 ranch hand

They get out of time also and finding good service for them isnt easy like it was in the 80's.

Dont get me wrong, they are FANTASTIC to shoot. I just dont think theyre worth current prices. Theyre a novelty at this point.

Ruger American bolt gun in both .357 AND .44 mag. I'd buy both. I have lever guns in both to go with my revolvers but I have been less than impressed with the 1894 in 44 I bought. Picky bastards.

I've been contemplating a Sig P238.

I got one about 6 months back. Phenomenal little gun. Most pocket-sized guns aren't fun to shoot but I could shoot the P238 at the range all day. Love it. Highly recommend it.

I got the Equinox model

Got the 686+ w 2.5” barrel. I love it. Shoots great. Got a regular six shot in 6”. It’s my favorite gun to shoot. Hard to convey how sweet it is - big, heavy, soft shooting and more accurate than I’ll ever be.

ETA - point being to get one as soon as you can.

Something in .50 BMG and a very clean M1903A3. That's pretty much all I'm missing in my collection that I want.

Would like to come across a short-rail CZ 75. Normally don't push the bank on guns, but this would definitely tempt me.
