Looks like a great way to get a gun stolen.

The rack is very close to the roof. If you look straight at the truck you can't see it because of the curve of the roof.I have very dark tint and you can't see it from the side unless your looking pretty hard. I have had people get in my truck and sit in the front passenger seat and never know it was there.

I have a gun rack in my F150 that mounts between the Crew CAB doors. Requires no drilling(link below). I keep an Armalite AR15 locked and loaded with a Eotech on it. I can get it out the rack in less than 10 seconds. That is my backup to my M&P compact. I keep 3 loaded M&P mags and 3 loaded AR mags in my truck.

God damn son you live in Compton or something?

LOL nope just like being prepared if the need ever arises. What good is it if it's sitting in the safe at the house? It's a $750 AR. If it gets stolen it can be replaced. I keep the really good stuff in the safe at the house.

lsufan1971....muh baw. I like the way you roll. If you don't have body armor in your rig you should add it.

Can I get a Fully automatic if I do one of those trusts?

A. Not worth the hassle and expense

2. You don't want full auto in a defense situation

M4 with a collapsible stock is the right solution here - just keep it stock. Gillions of parts and magazines for it - fun to shoot - standard NATO round, etc.

I have a duffel bag the size of a body bag in my car right now.

(Don't ask.)

How do you like that rack thing? I've been wanting one just to get my guns off the floor and knock bang them up to much while driving. Would it hold a 16lb bolt gun and AR? Or would that be to much weight?

I think it would. I have a colt bolt gun that weighs probably 12 lbs and it was fine. I love it. It's the best non bolt on I have ever seen. Your welcome to take a look at it if you want. I work in BR.

I like your thinking there 71 but the reality he is talking about happens too fast to get hold of that AR I would think.

Thats why I like the thought of that Keltec PMR. From a seated position within seconds you can have 30 rnds of .22 mag flying at them.
As to the poster commenting on defensive round choice in the .22mag vs 9mm do you REALLY think that a perp will give a rats azz what they are shot with?
If so inclined, feel free to shoot yourself somewhere with a .22mag defensive round and let me know how lacking it is in defensive ability. LOL
