How your arse gonna sell Sardines without Saltine crackers.
This is how know you have never caught a damn fish in your life.
ETA: Just screwing with you. I have seen some of your fish pics posted.
The only person I was ever friends with that ate sardines regularly always ate them on doritos. My wife says her grandfather always ate them on saltines. I will add saltines to my fantasy bait shop. Regarding vienna sausage, massive oversight on my part. When I was a kid, no night-time crappie fishing trip was without vienna sausages from the minnow store. This will be in the inventory for sure.

T-Shirts, Hats, and Caps.
If you can brand these with your own logo, even better.

The money is in live bait. People use them for one trip and have to buy again every trip.
My step-family had a pretty thriving business in NW La before the casinos came to town. Grandpa said all the fat women that used to be sitting on buckets fishing are now sitting at slot machines dropping all their money in there.

That’s a good list. I worked at Black Bayou boat dock outside of Monroe in high school. We had all that stuff. Sold the piss out of crickets. Plus we rented out boats and motors. It was a real bad place after a long night of drinking though. It smelled horrific and if you opened we had to be there at 5 AM when the Chinqipins were biting.

The nearby lake is electric only. Thinking maybe kayak/canoe rental, but no need for 2 cycle oil.

I always figured the live bait was just the draw, the loss leader, to bring people in the door, but make your money on the other crap they buy when they're wandering around the store while you get the crickets and minnows.

Tell your “friend” that opens up his shop to give us a way to order hats.
I’ll definitely order more than one.

Some sort of hot breakfast item. Just make sure it’s good. I have seen many fisherman make stops on the way to the launch with they deciding factor being who had a good breakfast.
A few suggestions:
-Hot boudin links
-Breakfast sandwiches with biscuits or croissants
-Breakfast in a cup

I don’t, but it seems like every time I bring someone new out they forget theirs.
